We got an egg!

Our hens have been lazy. Thats the only explanation I can come up with.

When we got our hens they were already at he stage where they should be laying but they weren’t. We’ve had them 3 months now and not a single egg has came from them. That was until this morning.

I think it came from Bunty the wyandotte bantam as its tiny. It was barely in the house and #1 son demanded to be allowed to eat it for breakfast. So he did :)

  1. I know exactly where you are coming from. I have Bantams and White Legorns, also a couple of California Dots. The Bantams I have raised since birth and the others since a week old. My Bantams are a year old and have laid only a few here and there and my leggorns are 6 months and have just begun. I get all excited when my animals and chickens do something new. Today I collected 22 eggs out of 32 hens. This is the most I have collected at one time. It was great! If you would like to know more or read about my animals. check out my site at http://www.outaroundthebarn.com./farm-life-blog.
